Chinese Drywall is a developing problem. The sheetrock, brought in sometime from 2000 and 2008, discharges smells that cause severe deterioration. These smells have been unofficially linked to negative health effects including complications, nose infections, hacking and coughing, itchiness, eye and neck discomfort.
Chinese Drywall sufferers are not limited to those houses that contain Chinese Drywall. In a housing industry that has been generally frustrated for the last three years or so, Chinese Drywall contributes to the litany of problems that property owners have to get over in order to sell their house.
